I I wrote sometime ago that one of the ways to stop the violence in Jamaica is to do like what the Americans have done. This is to have car license plates carry the owber's home state on it. We could just swap the state for the parish sine Jamaica is divided into fourteen parishes. A lot of the crimes are being committed my persons either driving cars or riding bikes. People could not flee from St. James to say another parish. The Police could easily know which parish people come from by their cars.

I remembered Westin Taylor. Leila Arnold had come to work at Jack Winston Insurance Agency. She was a real beauty. Most of us young guys immediately fell in love with her. People asked if she had ever entered any beauty contests before. Most of us guys knew that Leila even if desirable was not attainable. Westin (Wes) didn't think so and he followed her everywhere. Once she left the office Wes was with her. She was Winston's personal assistant. Two months after she started working at the agency she went to help out in the Montego Bay branch. Wes was in consternation. Then we heard that she had found an English guy down there. By the time she returned three months later it was being widely rumored that she was going away to marry the English man. We all felt sorry for Wes. Three years after Leila went away, she returned to Jamaica. I met her on the Constant Spring Mall one Saturday afternoon. She told me that she had never encouraged Wes to be interested in her. I thought my novel, Uptown Lovers, would have done much better. I also thought my other novel, Undercover Soldier would have done much better. I urge readers to buy one of these books on Amazon Kindle or Create Space. I loved writing both books. I don't know why people don't love reading them.
