My Books on the Internet

I have several books on the internet. Most of these books are set in deep rural Jamaica in an imaginary district called Keswick. I also write in standard English rather than patois. I think I might be the only one from my graduating class doing any form of writing. I am an accountant by training. I haven't really met with any writing success but will not give up.  Please visit my pages at Amazon by typing in Austin G Mitchell.

Robbery at my Home, 359 Westmead on December 8 at 9.30 pm

Just to report that there was a robbery at my home in Westmead near Garveymeade yesterday, December 8, 2018 at 9.30 pm. I was upstairs writing when they ran upstairs to borrow my phone to call the police. The two guys were leaving and by the time I raced downstairs they had already gone. My grand daughter, my wife, our neighbor, my son, this little boy who lives with us, were all shaken up. One of the robbers had a gun. The police came shortly. The robbers took cellphones, ten thousand dollars from my son and three thousand dollars from my grand daughter. They also took a 49" flat screen television which is what I believe they came for. The police told my wife that there has been a spate of robberies in Portmore recently. I want to hear from my readers. Please visit my pages at Amazon by typing in Austin G Mitchell.

No Tears for Sonya-Excerpt # 2

No Tears for Sonya(excerpt # 2)                                                                            by                                                             Austin Mitchell “We don’t know what he’s up to. I think we should wait.”             “What if that detective is spying on us and reporting to Chester?”             “What could he report? The money from the apartment is sent straight to my bank account and remember that you manage my taxis.”       “Suppose he finds out about us?” “He doesn’t know that I’ve stopped seeing Skippy.”                     “I’m tired of this kind of life. We have to be hiding just because of one man.”             “You’ve just got to be patient. Things will work themselves out.”             “It’s like all his employees are slaves. He doesn’t trust any of them. That’s why he fast into their business so much. I’m glad I’m no longer working for him.”
