Books not Selling

My books are on Amazon, payhip and draft2digital. They are also on lulu.com. But they are just not selling. Maybe readers aren't interested in short stories, plays or poetry. I've tried to write as humorously as possible. Readers still aren't showing any interest in my writing. I know that I'm not a trained writer. As a matter of fact I'm an accountant who's trying his hand at writing. I get a lot of relaxation from writing so I'm not going to give it up. I've never thought that I'm going to make money by writing books. It's only when you write books and readers pass them by you wonder what kind of writer you are.

BUBBLE'S BABY-An Excerpt

Bubbles’ Baby by Austin Mitchell As I drove into Creighton on my way to Latore’s Ridge a young lady waved me down. When I stopped the car and she came up to it, I recognized her as ‘Bubbles’ Kenton, one of my former students. “Teacher, can I beg you a ride to Rennals?” “Sure, Bubbles, get in.” I opened the car door for her and she got in. She had a young baby with her, but I noticed that she didn’t have a bag, although the baby was wrapped in a towel. “Your first baby, Bubbles?” I asked as I drove off the car. “He’s Leta’s baby, teacher. Jamaica Creative Writer's Conference

How about a creative writers conference? This would bring together some of Jamaica's best creative writers to share ideas. I'm putting it out there because as far as I know there is not a lot going for creative writers. Can anybody make a living out of creative writing in Jamaica?
