UPTOWN LOVERS

                                                                                       Uptown Lovers

Morgana Symonds was hopelessly in love with Stewart Brown. At her send off party she got a promise out of him not to see any other woman. She was going away for three years to pursue higher studies in the United States. He was a tall, handsome man and very talkative. They had been lovers since her senior high school years. She wasn’t gone two months when she heard about him and two women, April English and Bobbette Greene. She and April had fought numerous battles over Stewart. Bobbette was probably a year younger than her and attended a nearby school. She knew about her reputation as far as men were concerned. She had promptly broken off the relationship. She had found a new man over there but that didn’t last long. Three months before coming home she and Stewart had reconciled their differences. A couple of months later after much encouragement from her mother, Monique and her mother’s sister, Sally, they got engaged. She later learned that on hearing about the engagement April had fled to the United States. Stewart was still in denial mode as far as Bobbette was concerned. He was always saying that she wouldn’t risk losing her rich boyfriend in order to be with him.
