Games Lovers Play, synopsis by Austin Mitchell

When Demar Reid came to Keswick high school, he told everybody that he came to fill a vacancy. But was that the real reason he was there? After all there was a female teacher at the primary school with whom he was having a steamy relationship but he was way down in St. Elizabeth. He and Dania Green had been college lovers. They graduated from college at the same time. Dania had wanted him to come to her new school with her. But he relocated to St. Elizabeth where she knew that he had several steamy relationships with young teachers down there. She had come to Keswick where she met Scott Dunn. He owned a coaster bus, several mini-buses and taxis. He told her that he liked her and they had started a relationship. She knew that he had several baby mothers and girlfriends. All of them want him to leave her because they feel that she is only after his money. On arrival at his new job, it doesn’t take Demar long to find a new girlfriend, also a teacher, Naomi. Another man who likes Dania is Fitz Bruce, a farmer but she has told him that he is too poor and the two men she is sleeping with are taking care of her sexual needs. Fitz has a baby mother, Beanca, but they are not together again. He has a new girlfriend, Tula, but he is infatuated with Dania. He keeps calling and sending her love notes. Scott searches her phone and find messages from Fitz begging her for a chance. He goes straight to Tula. She curses him off and decides to shun him. She told him that since he is infatuated with Dania, he should go to her and leave her alone. While Tula is shunning him, he meets a girl by the name of Tiana and starts going out with her. Tiana said that he would have to drop Tula before she would consider a serious relationship with him. Meanwhile Dania and a girl by the name of Juliet are fighting over Scott. Juliet accused her of using Scott as she is really Demar’s lover. Scott asks her about it but she denies that they are lovers. She brands Juliet as a liar and a rumor monger. She said that she couldn’t deal with either Fitz or Deamar as neither of them had any money. Fitz was a poor dirt farmer while Demar was a poor teacher. Then Tiana drops a bomb on Fitz. They were at a party and she was quarreling with Tula about dancing with Fitz. She told Tula that he was no big thing as he was very lazy in bed. Tula quarrels with Fitz as he told her that he was not seeing her so how come he was now going to bed with her. Fitz tried to explain but she said that she had warned him that the girl was very immature. She got into a taxi and went home. Denise, her younger sister came over. She accuses Tiana of trying to break up Fitz and Tula’s relationship. Tiana curses her off and leaves. Fitz goes up to Tula’s house but she refuses to come out to him. However, they soon make up especially after she learns that Tiana was really lying. Fitz is now along with two other women in their middle thirties. He was along with them up to a couple of years ago but broke up after they said they wanted to stop being unfaithful to their husbands. Demar is still seeing Dania but he has left Naomi and is seeing a new girl, Arlene. Dania is still seeing Scott, but the expected payouts are not materializing and she is thinking of doing something else.
