A Library in Half Way Tree

A Library in Half Way Tree?

I think it is high time that we have a library in Half Way Tree. Frankly I think the library on Tom Redcam Drive is only serving the needs of the immediate community. It closes at 6:00 pm on weekdays and 5:00 on Saturdays. Students living above Half Way Tree must find it difficult to access this library. Some philanthropist might decide to build a private library and charge a fee to use it. Sometimes one is in Half Way Tree and feel like using a library and then have to go to Cross Roads. The area looks so deserted sometimes although army camp is next door. I notice also a lot of foreigners passing through Half Way Tree, surely a library would add to the cultural identity of the area. Mandela Park looks so uninviting and the third floor of the transportation center is always closed. I believe that as Half Way Tree could be made far more attractive for both locals and visitors by upgrading the cultural attractions. At one time they were thinking of locating a hotel on the lands where the old Ministry of Housing used to be. I don’t know what became of that project  but some of these lands could be used up.
